The general gist of the seminar is to discuss the gathering evidence about the relationship between movement, the mind and physiological pain. The work is positioned alongside conventional medicine, sensible medical screening is a pre cursor. In essence it is an empowering education programme encouraging patients to identify the tools that will help them take responsibility for their health. The key concept concerns the role of the Autonomic Nervous System and the related power of Placebo or 'Meaning Response'. Sometimes just attending the seminar, and taking on board the concept can resolve pain. There will be time at the end for questions.
The first seminar in Ireland was held at The Glenview Hotel, County Wicklow, on Thursday 29th May, at 7.30pm with an entrance fee of €6. Due to the success of the evening, there was a seminar in June and another seminar is planned shortly.
